The Diocese of Lokoja Anglican Communion as recorded another uplifting display of compassion and purposeful leadership as His Grace, the Most Reverend Dr. E. A. S. Egbunu, extended financial grants and humanitarian support to parishes and members facing hardship.
During a well-attended presentation ceremony, the Diocesan Bishop—represented by the Diocesan Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer—awarded grants totaling about ₦2 million to four parishes.
The funds are designated to boost developmental projects, strengthen evangelism, and support grassroots church growth. Parish representatives described the intervention as timely and transformative, noting that it would significantly advance their ministry and infrastructural efforts.
Beyond parish support, His Grace also reached out to three members of the Anglican Communion whose homes were recently destroyed in a fire incident. In a gesture reflecting deep pastoral concern, he provided cash donations, along with bags of rice and gallons of cooking oil, to help the affected families rebuild their lives.
The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude, thanking God for a Bishop who consistently shares in both the joys and sorrows of his flock.
Church members and clergy alike praised the Bishop’s unwavering commitment to welfare and service, describing his actions as a model of practical Christianity. Many noted that his leadership continues to inspire hope, unity, and renewed dedication across the Diocese.
The Diocese offered prayers for God’s continued strength, protection, and prosperity upon His Grace, affirming that his generosity and servant leadership remain a blessing to the entire church community.
This latest intervention stands as a shining reminder that true leadership is demonstrated not only in words but in meaningful actions that uplift lives and advance the mission of the Church.
